WINEMEETING “Burgenland's Burgundy – White Elegance at the Highest Level”
For a long time, red wine and sweet wine from Burgenland were primarily in the minds of wine enthusiasts, but today, elegant white wines have long gained a growing importance. However, the area development, especially with Burgundy varieties – Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Neuburger – is not entirely encouraging: Currently, about 1300 ha of white Burgundy varieties are planted in Burgenland, with a slight downward trend!
In this meeting, we want to bring some top Burgundy wines to the forefront and show how much these elegant white wines contribute positively to the positioning of the “white” Burgenland.
