The gentle grazing by Krainer Stone Sheep from the Bioschafhof Elpons contributes significantly to the preservation of the species-rich flower and meadow orchards in the nature park. This nature-oriented form of management promotes a variety of rare animal species such as the Bechstein's bat, praying mantis, and hoopoe. During a one-and-a-half-hour visit with the sheep herd, you will not only learn many exciting facts about the sheep and their advantages, but you will also have plenty of time to pet the herding dogs and lambs and to taste the homemade organic apple juice from the meadow orchards and sheep Cabanossi.
