Logging (Thomas Bernhard)
with Nicholas Ofczarek and the Musicbanda Franui
Thomas Bernhard's novel places a narrator at its center, who observes an "artistic evening gathering" in Vienna's Gentzgasse from the distance of his armchair and dissects it with malicious precision. The assembled crowd is waiting for the announced arrival of a Burgtheater actor; moreover, most of the people in this gathering are connected because their friend Joana, who had taken her own life, was buried in the village of Kilb that afternoon.
Thomas Bernhard's famous prose is brought to life in a recitative manner, while the musicians of Franui will be heard performing a specialty that has made them known: the celebration of funeral marches and funeral music.
