The Blaufränkischland Marathon will take place on October 3, 2026 in its fifth round!
The ideal event to combine exquisite regional cuisine with physical activity! It's not necessarily about reaching the finish line in record time. Rather, the focus is on enjoying together in combination with movement.
FEATURE OF THE BLAUFRÄNKISCHLAND MARATHON
A special highlight is the colorful field of participants: Many runners compete in original costumes, ensuring plenty of fun and good mood – even among the spectators. The most creative outfits will be awarded by a jury and rewarded with attractive prizes.

FACTS ABOUT THE RACE
- When? Saturday, October 3, 2026 Where? Start and finish: Deutschkreutz, in front of the New Middle School
- Race number collection: Saturday, October 3 from 7:30 AM until 30 minutes before the start of the booked event
- Start of the events (running or walking): from 8:30 AM
- Finish cutoff: 4:00 PM
EVENTS & START TIMES
- 8:30 AM: Start block A - Marathon (42 km)
- 9:00 AM: Start block B - 1/2 Marathon (21.3 km)
- 9:30 AM: Start block C - 1/2 Marathon (21.3 km)
- 10:00 AM: Start block D - 1/4 Marathon (10.4 km)
- 10:30 AM: Start block E - 1/4 Marathon (10.4 km)
- 11:00 AM: Start block G - 1/4 Marathon (10.4 km)
- 12:00 PM: Start block H - 1/8 Marathon (5.7 km)
At the enjoyment stations along the respective routes, there will be wine tastings and culinary delights for all participants, as well as water and grape juice. On the marathon and half-marathon route, there will also be classic refreshment stations with water and isotonic drinks.
COMPANION PROGRAM IN THE START/FINISH AREA
- Up to 13 enjoyment stations alternate with classic refreshment stations
- Wine tastings and culinary delights for all participants at the enjoyment stations, water and ISO at the refreshment stations
- Moderation and DJ from 8:00 AM
- Start of the running events from 9:00 AM
- Diverse companion program for participants and spectators with drink stands, food trucks, and much more
- Award ceremony at 3:30 PM in the festival tent
- “After Run Party” with live music from 4:30 PM
